My home town is OOTY also called as “Queen of hills”.  This is a awesome hill station and its a tourism area. Here are some tourist spots below

  • Ooty Mountain Railway

The Radio Astronomy centre (RAC) is part of the National centre of Radio Astrophysics (NCAR) of the well known Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) which is funded by the Government of India through the Department of atomic energy . The RAC is situated near Udhagamandalam in the beautiful surroundings of the Nilgiri Hills Nd it provides stimulating Environment for the front-line research in radio astronomy and astrophysics with its excellent and highly qualified staff and international reputations.

Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary & National Park is situated at the tri-junction of the three southern states of Tamilnadu, Kerala, and Karnataka. Mudumalai wildlife reserve is a continuation of the Bandipur National Park. It was the first sanctuary in South India and established in the year 1940.

The heighest peak in nilgris is Western Catchments. Western Catchments is a tourist spot and protected by Forest Department, Tourist are not allowed without the permission. There are a number of tanks like structure called as the Reservoirs which are available here. The rolling hills together with lush green and good looking green carpet covers, meandering channels, beautiful lake like reservoirs surrounded by hills just make the place to feel like a heaven. This place is too good to be around with to leave behind out all sorts of worries and to enjoy.
