Top artworks on Gnome-look in April 2012
When a linux user needs new artworks to change the look and feel of his desktop, the first place he would look for is gnome-look, a website where linux users can submit their artworks, ie GTK themes, icon themes, conky configs, and many other things for everybody to download and use for free. Each month, hundreds of new artworks have been uploaded on gnome-look so you may have missed a lot of nice stuffs if you dont check gnome-look regularly. But dont worry, today’s article of Linux and Life will list all the best artworks which just got submitted on Gnome-look in this month, April 2012.
GTK themes

Elementary-mod-silver
A silver-ish GTK theme, suits best for those who prefer light themes. Click here to download Elementary-mod-silver theme.
ImmUnity
This GTK theme is not completed yet but it got a lot of potential. ImmUnity, according to the author, is the combination of several themes like Ambiance, Radiance and Elementary. Click here to download ImmUnity theme.
Ambiance DS BlueBroken
Fans of dark themes will love Ambiance DS BlueBroken. It’s just a modified version of the old Ambiance theme yet it looks very innovating and elegant. I am myself using this theme and really like it. The Lot of 36 Swar themes
This is not a single theme, in fact, it’s a collection of 36 Swar themes with different colors and styles. The downloading file is pretty huge ( more than 80 MB) but you will have a lot of themes to select afterward. Elementary GTK 3.0

Alienware Invader

Another way to re-run the previous command
After running a command in the terminal, you can re-call it by simply hitting the up arrow button. Another way to recall the previous command you can use is to type the double exclamation marks (“!!”). In other words, when you run the double exclamation marks in the terminal, the previous command will be executed. This tip can be quite handy when you want to re-run the previous command as root. For example, instead of re-typing the whole previous command with ‘sudo’ or ‘beesu’ before it, you can just type:
sudo !!
or
beesu !!

Ubuntu 12.10’s default wallpaper released
After selecting and landing the default wallpaper stack for Ubuntu 12.10, the developers have just published and landed in Quantal the default wallpaper.
The new default wallpaper definitely takes a different approach in terms of expressing the visual brand of Quantal Quetzal, combining warm colors with shadows, similar to a wave of colors.
The eye is to follow a solid yet fluid movement from the right-side to the left area of the screen, a movement of light encompassing the shiny Quantal desktop.
